ODLS have developed specialist expertise in the transport, loading, unloading, storage, delivery and installation of electrical transformers between 30 and 250 tonne. We have the ability to store transformers in an outdoor yard with video surveillance.
Transformers are handled in our yard and on site by one of our 200 tonne mobile cranes or using our jacking system and skating equipment. We have expanded our capabilities to include specialist crews to install and assemble the transformers and accessories.
They have undergone induction and safety training with various external providers and have ESI, Transgrid PSSR 3.3 and Powerlink training for works on substation in all states. By continually upgrading our compliance training and inductions, ODLS is able to supply experienced labour hire under manufacturers’ supervision to install transformers.
Our aim is to continue to foster this service to become the primary provider of services to the industry for the relocation, installation and even, at the end of their life, the removal and demolition of the larger transformers.

Jacking and Skating can be the ideal alternative to mobile cranes where access for a mobile crane can be difficult or even impossible.
